Later adopted as a symbol of Satanism, its most familiar depiction is Éliphas Lévi's illustration in his treatsie, ''Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie'' ("''Dogma and Ritual of High Magic''"); that of a winged, goat-headed figure, with breasts.
