Game Over is the state in which all player characters are unable to continue, having lost all Health Points, or are all Petrified and unable to act.
This is accompanied by a Game Over screen, and a return to the main title, and a chance to reload from the last saved game.
The Game Over screens have variants, and are randomised.
The Game Over screens have variants, and are semi-randomised. Once the Neameto Float has risen, the screen is replaced by one featuring the float.
The Game Over screens are dependent on the area where the party is defeated, and features a different screen for every main area in the game - and even a special screen if the player should be defeated in the Man Festival.
Unlike the previous games, FtNW features only a single standard Game Over screen, and a single variant if the player should be defeated in the He-Man Sushi fights.
