Biography[edit | edit source]
Not much is known about Gepetto's life. It is generally known that he was a famous puppeteer in the theaters of Paris. He is still relatively well-known but his popularity has faded. He had a young daughter named Cornelia. The puppet he uses for battle is an exact replica of her. Also, he is the brother-in-law of Father Morris Elliot and the uncle of Alice Elliot. When he was younger, his daughter died at an early age. By the beginning of the game, his wife has died and he is living with Yuri.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Gepetto can be described as kind, wise, and loyal to others. He also has a somewhat lecherous side, along with a rather humorously disturbing preference for Veronica Vera.
Fighting Style[edit | edit source]
Using his beloved puppet Cornelia (named for his late daughter), Gepetto fights and channels his magic-based Marionette skills through her.
Having the highest MP stat in the party, Gepetto's main function is to attack or provide support with magic crests and his own Marionette skills, all of which focus on dealing specific elemental damage.

Appearances outside Shadow Hearts[edit | edit source]
Gepetto has also appeared in Chaos Wars as one on the many cross-over characters from the Shadow Hearts series.
His ultimate skill is "Ecstasy", the same as in Shadow Hearts: Covenant, and again uses his beloved puppet, Cornelia as a weapon.
