Trivia[]
- Most of Lucia's fans are named in reference to planets and other bodies of the Solar System.
The Saturn, Jupiter and Venus fans are named for the planets, while the Posidon and Hades fans are the Greek counterparts of Neptune and Pluto, the Roman gods after whom the planet and dwarf planet are named (Pluto was still considered a planet when the Shadow Hearts Covenant was made, though it was not discovered until 1930).
In Japanese, the fan is called by the Japanese name for Pluto, and the Golden Fan is named after the planet Mercury its design features a Cadecus, a staff carried by Mercury and his Greek equivalent, Hermes.
The Luna Fan is named after the moon.
Lucia's ultimate fan is named after Nemesis, a hypothetical red or brown dwarf that was believed to trigger periodic mass extinctions on Earth, by disturbing comets and asteroids in the Oort Cloud through its gravity, increasing impact events in the inner Solar System.
The only planets besides Earth not represented in Lucia's collection are Mars and Uranus. It is possible that the Goddess Fan, said to be made from the wings of a sky god, is a reference to Uranus, as Uranus was the embodiment of the sky in Greek mythology.
The Luna Fan's Japanese name, Luna Piena is Italian for "Full Moon".
